Bed & Butter started with a very simple question:

Why does bedding look good online, but rarely feel good after a few washes?

We grew up around fabrics, manufacturing, and the behind-the-scenes of how home essentials are actually made. Over time, we realised most people spend so much money on aesthetics, but very little attention goes into what they sleep on every night.

Things like:
What fabric actually keeps you cool in Indian summers?
Does thread count really matter?
Why do some bedsheets feel softer with time while others become rough after two washes?
What’s actually better for your skin and hair?

That curiosity turned into Bed & Butter.

Built by Maitri and Aanchal, Bed & Butter is a modern bedding brand rooted in comfort, conscious living, and thoughtful design. We create minimal, breathable bedding that feels as good as it looks, soft on your skin, gentle on your hair, pet-friendly, baby-friendly, and designed for everyday comfort.

Everything we make is sustainable, vegan, and proudly made in India.

But beyond the products, what matters most to us is the process behind them. We come from a manufacturing background of 10+ years, and we’ve always believed good businesses should support the people who build them. A large part of our workforce includes women artisans and workers, and creating opportunities that support families and financial independence is deeply important to us.

No animals are harmed in our process, and every collection is made with mindfulness, towards people, the planet, and the homes our products become a part of.
